The Accountability Act
Equity isn’t optional. Impact must be intentional.
What Is BLAC’s Accountability Act?
The BLAC Accountability Act is a bold, community-driven pledge that holds companies accountable to reinvest in the Black communities they profit from. It sets non-negotiable standards for equity, transparency, and economic return to the communities in which they operate—locking wealth, talent, and resources into our communities where they belong.
Why We Created It
Black communities are often targeted for profit but overlooked when it comes to real investment. Corporations show up to extract—not to give back. Diversity statements are made, yet meaningful change rarely follows.
BLAC launched the Accountability Act to shift that reality and:
Ensure representation in leadership and hiring
Demand tangible reinvestment in our communities
Track progress through transparency and data
Hold partners accountable to their public commitments
This isn’t about punishment—it’s about standards, shared responsibility, and transformative partnership.
