The Makeover Program extends beyond individual development to community advancement. Sessions include mentors, volunteers, and local entrepreneurs, alongside a BLAC Market Pop-Up offering free resources and access to Black-owned businesses.
Measured outcomes include:
• 85% of participants report increased discipline and leadership capacity
• 71% advance in career or community leadership roles within one year

TJ Harris is the Founder & CEO of BLAC and a nationally recognized voice in youth empowerment and leadership development. Named Man of the Year (2025) by the California State Assembly and Activist of the Year, TJ is an acclaimed author and award-winning speaker known for moving crowds and transforming rising leaders.
He has worked with thousands of first-generation, nontraditional, and justice-impacted youth—helping them build confidence, discipline, and leadership skills that lead to degrees, careers, and community change.
TJ brings the fire of a speaker, the strategy of a coach, and the passion of an activist. When he speaks, new leaders rise—and potential becomes power.

Anyone committed to growth is welcome, especially Black, minority and first-gen leaders. (typically aged 18- 30, not limited to.)

Yes, membership is required for full access. (click here)

Yes, $10 day passes are available for non-members.
Q4: Is there an online option?
Yes, sessions are streamed via Zoom for members.
