13 cents
Black households hold just 13 cents of wealth for every dollar held by white households—a 10x gap that hasn’t improved in over 50 years. (Brookings Institute, 2020)
Why This Matters
3.5%
Only 3.5% of executive and senior leadership roles in the U.S. are held by Black professionals, despite making up over 13% of the population. (EEOC, 2023)
drop outs
Black college graduates have a higher unemployment rate (7.3%) than white high school dropouts (5.5%). (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2022)
